Floor Tiles
Floor tiles are a popular choice to keep your house cool in the QLD heat and tend to be thicker and more durable than wall tiles. It is also less common to find high gloss tiles on bathroom and kitchen floors as they can sometimes pose slip risks. As a result, the most popular floor tile styles are textured. Terrazzo, stone and timber look tiles are popular options.
Wall Tiles
Most floor tiles can technically be used as wall tiles, however wall tiles are traditionally lighter and thinner than floor tiles. Some wall tiles are produced exclusively for walls, and are inherently not intended to be load bearing. Common wall tile options include mosaic, marble and ceramic.
Outdoor and Pool Tiles
Unlike the tiles used for indoor walls and floors, outdoor tiles need to withstand a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions. Common options are ceramic, porcelain, travertine and granite.
